E 'finished the Tour of the Mediterranean, where Luke could not give their best because of some resentment muscle most likely due to poor posture cycling. Now, place the bike with the right measures, Luke feels more comfortable and ready to race again, Saturday, February 21, this time on Italian soil, the prestigious Trofeo Laigueglia.

The number of participants in the competition is confirmed. The 23 teams have reached the Ligurian town and the spring weather seems to guarantee a success already announced. The official list of starters really seems to announce an event of first order. In addition to last year's winner Luca Paolini, Acqua & Sapone jersey, confirmed the presence of teammate Stefano Garzelli, of Gasparotto (Lampre NGC), then Pozzato and Ignatiev (Katusha), Soler, Cummings and Froome (Barloworld) Rebellin (Diquigiovanni-Androni), Di Luca and Petacchi (LPR Farnese).

But tomorrow the Trofeo Laigueglia will shine above all thanks to the white jersey and iridescent World Champion Alessandro Ballan.

Everything is then ready for the official start tomorrow morning at Laigueglia at 10.50. The riders will travel a path of 176km distributed partly along the Ligurian coast, and partly inland, where they will be graded Pass Balestrino, Pass and Cima Ginestro Paravenna. You will arrive at around 15.oo or so, in Via Aurelia, near Laigueglia. The race will be broadcast delayed on Rai Tre and at 15:45 on Rai Sport Più at 20.00, with commentary by Francis Pancani and technical comments of Silvio Martinello.
